God is Love and Holy
Text: Leviticus 19:2,psalm 99:5,9,1 John 4:7-8,
We live in a generation and time where everything is connected one way or the other to God either good or bad.
Majority of the religions either references towards or away from God.
The Islamist militants say that they are killing in the name of God, the native doctors say they are representing the people in the name of God and claim to cunningly fight evil,the satanist are not different.
Now if we christians claim that God is love,we have made use of this statement that it has made us worse than those who don’t even know God because we don’t show love like God does.
God is love and God’s love works in holiness. When you are an homosexual and you claim God is love and will see you as you are and not condemn you then you have not totally qualified God who is love and Holy.(Leviticus 18:22-25,1 timothy 4:1-2;2 timothy 3:1-6)
The love of God is seen by his extent and work to save a sinner and the holiness of God is shown in the judgement of God to condemn unrepentant sinners. 2 Peter 3:9.
In the realm of man on earth,if you claim to have love and you engage in filthy habits like sodomy,robbery and stealing,killing,and other evil vices, then your love is of no effect to change people or make people better because true love will not engage in sinful and evil habits. 1 Peter 4:17-18.
If you claim to love God then you must be holy just like God is holy. Leviticus 19:2,1 Peter 1:15-16.
Now christians today are too scared to speak against unholy habits in the church and society,I remember the latest scenario of a gospel singer Kim Burrell who spoke against homosexuality and even christians cancelled her concert,this is a disgrace to the body of Christ in the united states of America.
We live in a world where male children are raised like female children and female children raised as male children. Transgenders are becoming popular even in the African nations, if muslims can be against such abnormal sexual behaviors,why should we the children of light embrace them all in the name of love of God and we are silent about the holiness of God. 1 Corinthians 3:17,
In genesis 18:20-33 we read a communication between the Lord and Abraham about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah,Abraham’s effort to persuade the Lord to spare the great city. God commanded the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah because of the sin of homosexuality amongst other evil atrocities they committed. in genesis 19 we see that the Lord did not spare not even the children or the animals because of the sexually perverted persons in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah,how much more will he not spare them today because he has not changed.
Now the tenure of president Obama brought about brisk rise in moral decadence in the united states amidst diplomatic progress.
You cannot claim to love your wife and commit adultery with another woman,so how much more God in heaven,you cannot claim to love God and commit abominations and iniquities he abhors and hates. The true God is holy and loving,remove the holiness from the love of God and you have something else.
That is why God must punish unholiness which is sin despite his love for sinners in Hell fire. Revelation 20:12-15,21:27.
Don’t take the love of God for granted,repent from your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour. 1 John 5:1-3.

Have you crucified the flesh? Lusts and affections
Text:Galatians 5:24-25
As long as we live in this world there must be a constant war between the flesh and the spirit. 1 Peter 2:11.
Apostle Paul gave a careful category of the works of the flesh in Galatians 19-21. If anyone of these is found in you,it will hinder you from making it home in heaven.
You don’t condone sin because of grace but you forsake sin because of grace.
The ultimate goal of a Christian is to fulfill God’s plan for coming to this earth,and thereafter making it home in heaven to be with Jesus Christ.
There is no work of the flesh that is too small or minute to ignore,anger is not an excuse by a Christian because the word of God gives us solutions on dealing with anger problems and other works of the flesh.
One of the signs that you are for Jesus Christ is that you have crucified the affections and lusts of your flesh.
What does it mean to crucify the affections and lust of the flesh? This simply means you become dead to sin. Reference to my message dead to sin.
Romans 6:6-10 gives us a better explanation that the old man(adamic nature) is crucified with Christ so that the body of sin might be destroyed and we would no longer serve sin. C.f Galatians 2:20.
Lust for sex,alcohol,women,money,power and other earthly bodily lust are of this world,every living soul must pass through it,how we respond to them tells us if we have truly crucified the lust of the flesh and its affections.
When you have crucified the flesh and its affection and its lust.you will know it because the sin that used to make you fall no longer have any effect or desires in you any longer.you are free in Christ Jesus. praise God. We win.
When you have your flesh crucified with its lust and affections you must exhibit the fruits of the spirit spoken of in Galatians 5:22-23, the fruit of the spirit is your secret that the mortal man needs to inherit the kingdom of God.
I need everyone to crucify the flesh so that we can inherit the kingdom of God,I am not excluded because I am flesh and blood too. May the Lord bless and empower us to crucify the flesh and its lust permanently.
If you claim to live in the spirit then you walk in the spirit,if you claim to be a Christian,then walk like a Christian,if you claim to name the name of Christ,then depart from iniquity. If you claim to be born again then live a holy life that shows you are born again.
We are easy and fast to condemn people who fell to the lust and affections of the flesh,the bible admonishes us to help them stand up again and not to crucify and condemn them. James 5:20,jude 22-24.
Now remember that God cannot be mocked whatsoever a man sow that shall it reap,so if you sow into the flesh you reap corruption,you sow into the spirit you reap life everlasting. Paul admonished us in verse 9 not to be tired of doing what is right and good because if we don’t give-up we shall reap good in a short time to come. Galatians 6:7-9.
If you commit sin and iniquity you sow into your flesh and you reap death and condemnation,but if you forsake sin,pray,fast and study the word of God and other godly seeds then you sow into the spirit and you reap everlasting life
Now the question is where do you sow? Your flesh or your spirit.

How to pray: How should I pray? {part 3}
Text: Matthew 6:5-7, Luke 18:10-14, Ezekiel 3:17-21, psalm 65:2
How should I pray; we have the hypocritical Christian prayer and the Christ-like Christian prayer.
Hypocritical Christian prayers like to pray in public places and they pray to be seen of men Matthew 6:5. They also pray like the Pharisee, very proud and feel they are too good by their actions so they portray self righteousness. Luke 18:10-12.
The Christ-like Christian prayers they go into their hidden closets, or secret places to pray to God in secret. Matthew 6:6.
They also pray the publican prayer, they ask God to be merciful to them, they humble themselves before God in prayers and they don’t fail to confess their sins before God. Luke 12:13-14.
The act of real prayer is the communication with God that expresses humility and love of Christ in the life of a Christian.
They hypocritical Christian might also get answers because there are rewards for everything but you must ensure that you don’t condemn people in your prayers all because you are doing better than them spiritually and mentally.
It is your job to intercede for them in prayers than feeling self righteous (not an excuse to allow sinners to continue in sin) Ezekiel 3:17-21.
The Christ-like prayer always touches the heart of God; help and answers always comes to him even if he does not deserve it.
Prayer: God I come to you as a sinner, please have mercy on me, forgive me and wash me white as snow, make me come to your presence and listen to my prayers. In Jesus name..Amen.

Firstfruit: act of giving or commandment 190116
Text: Exodus 23:16,exodus 23:19a,exodus 34:22,26, Deuteronomy 18:1-5,2kings 4:42,ezekiel 44:30,proverbs 3:9,james 1:18,revelations 14:4,1 corinthians 15:20,23.
Firstfruit simply the first of your fruits,but spiritually let’s see the origin of firstfruits from the bible.
In Exodus 23:16, God(Jehovah) instructed moses to command the Israelites to bring the harvest of firstfruits of their labour at the beginning of the year and also their ingathering of their labour at the end of the year. And it was told them specifically that they should bring the first of their firstfruits of their land to the house of the Lord their God exodus 23:19a. C.f exodus 34:22,26
The firstfruit was simply the first of the harvest,income,wages,animals or fruits of the work of the people but because in the time of moses the major occupation of the israelites was farming and animal husbandry.
So it was mandatory in the era of the law and it was a means of offering of thanks to the Lord for his blessings and increase for his people.
Deuteronomy 18:1-5 tells us that the priest of the Lord and all the tribe of levi has no work or inheritance with the israelites but the
Lord was their inheritance so the offerings of the firstfruit went to the priest of the Lord because they were chosen by God to stand and minister in the name of the Lord.
So the firstfruits and the ingatherings were what the Lord used to take care of his priest and ministers and they were the ones to use them on behalf of God.
Its a pity that these principles have been abused by ministers of God today because they have failed to live humble lives like the apostles and generals of old.
In 2kings 4:42 we read of an account where a man named Baal-shalisha brought firstfruits to the prophet elisha and he used it to feed some people..
Firstfruits are to be brought to ministers of God who you know are truly called by God and ensure they pray for you after you have done so. ezekiel 44:30
Firstfruits is important to us,proverbs 3:9 which says: honour the Lord with thy substance,and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.
some people also practice firstfruits for the first of the increase of their income from job for instance,when there is an increment after a promotion or salary increment,they therefore pay the first of their increased wage as a firstfruit offering to the Lord…c.f ezekiel 20:40,
Firstfruits are also used as a means to pray to God for blessings and remembrance just as brother nehemiah did in nehemiah 13:31 because he gave it with a good heart and it was a good memorial for him.
Let’s look at the new testament account for firstfruits and we see that it was not abolished neither was it mandatory.
In the new testament,the references to firstfruits talks about we being the Firstfruits unto God (james 1:18,revelations 14:4) and also Jesus Christ also being the first of the firstfruits of men unto God,1 corinthians 15:20,23.
Firstfruit is not mandatory for christians and it does not have anything to do with making heaven but an act of giving,an exercise of faith and obedience to the will of God and most important a means to getting blessed.
For those who want to give firstfruits,there is no need to remove tithe from it,it is usually paid in full to the minister of God.
Firstfruit is also a powerful means of sowing a seed into the life or ministry of a man of God and no minister should enforce firstfruits on its members but let them see the benefits of giving firstfruits.
In the year 2013,the Lord spoke to me in the first month of the year that I should give my firstfruit salary and he backed it with a sign so I counted the cost but glory be to Jesus I was able to obey..this happened before I was called into the ministry,it is so interesting that I could not dodge my call to the work of God that year and after paying the firstfruit the Lord provided mysteriously for my needs.. Factors that nullify the power behind the blessing of firstfruits:
1. Sin: if you are living a life of sin,the Lord will abhor your gift and most times you might not get the reward or blessings you deserve. Acts 5:1-10,psalm 10:3,jeremiah 6:1-21,psalm 66:18,note: sin robs a person of his blessings.
2. Unclean income: as a prostitute or thief or other unclean jobs,paying firstfruits will only attract the judgement and punishment of God upon your life and no matter how anointed your prophet is,his prayers will be of no effect. God will never bless the offering an offering from an abomination. get jobs that God will be proud to bless,there is no condition to get involved in unclean businesses or illegal deals.
3. Heart of doubt or fear: if you give your firstfruit with a heart of double-mindedness,you might not have the desired blessings it carries. Also fear of how you will cope after you have paid it is also an hindrance to this act of giving. James 1:4,8
4. Non-freewill: God wants us to give our offering willingly and from a free heart and not grudgingly. exodus 25:1-2,1 chronicles 29:1-10,

I still don’t agree with people who say don’t pay tithe to the church or minister of God but instead pay it to motherless babies homes,beggars,I am not saying don’t take care of the widows,motherless babies home,may the Lord direct our ways and even someone told me the money for your tithe must be used to organise a party or feast and you invite friends and family to feast with you.
You can also share with friends if you find it helpful,we are in the age of information and there is a high rate of deception in this world today and these deceptors use the bible to back their points.
One basic act that must be promoted in christianity is giving and many people today want to receive from others but cannot give to others. Acts 20:35.christians must be able to help neighbours and friends in need which is most times difficult to do. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

Admonition

Philippians 4 when we look at the scriptures, it was explained that our true brethren in the lord are our joy and crown, therefore if your fellow man is not fine you are not supposed to be fine and if your brother is fine then you are fine and you must do a particular work of always ensuring that they stand fast in the lord meaning they do not look back to the world…
therefore we and our brethren in the lord can are also known to always be of the same mind and ensuring that our names are in the book of life..That is our primary goal at all times…
we were also given the instruction to always rejoice in the Lord…so therefore don’t allow the devil to take away your joy at any time..
Because you know God don’t be fearful about what will happen to you but hand over your future to the hands of God through prayers and supplication with thanksgiving letting God know what you want……this is for looking for life partners and are scared of choosing the wrong person…God is saying to you today put it in prayers and thank Him for doing it.
there is a joy God gives to His children that man cannot attribute to themselves neither can they explain the source of the joy and the target of the joy is to keep your heart and minds in good condition and state…remember that the source of this unexplainable joy is Jesus Christ our lord….
the Lord wants us to continually meditate on things that are pleasing to God and that we should keep our hearts and mind away from evil because if we don’t we will not be able to experience that joy that God wants for us….
it is the will of God that we are contented with whatever we have and do not covet what is for our neighbor exodus 20:17..this is why many men today sleep with married women and they go to hell because they coveted another mans’ wife therefore coveting his household….the source of corruption in our nation today is because of covetousness and greed among Nigerians….
when you are contented with what you have does not mean you are satisfied but it means you choose to be satisfied so that your fellow neighbor does not suffer….that is the way we ought to work and live as Christians….
with the strength of Christ we can do all things and everything is possible in his name…God honors the name of His son and he said if you ask anything in the name of Christ he will do it,God did not say he might do it…so therefore it means the God we serve is faithful at all times…
remember at all times that our God will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ…
therefore brethren let your heart be known to be with God at all times and we should avoid living a double standard life.
God want us to meditate on Romans 3:3; reading the entire chapter speaks alot.

Ezekiel 3:17
God made Ezekiel a watchman unto the house of Israel, so therefore he had to hear the word at the mouth of God and give the children of Israel God’s warning. vs. 17
A watchman is like a guard who keeps watch and he should be at alert and active at all times.
Has God made you a watchman over Nigeria and you have refused to hear what God is telling you or have refused to give people warnings from God..
Has God made you a watchman over your church, or your fellowship.romans 15:14
Has God made you a watchman over your family and instead of being alert for them, you are busy entertaining yourself, instead of waiting for God to speak you are busy drinking and wasting away time.
God will punish any of his watchman that refused to warn his people from their sins, destructive ways.
The work of a watchman is very sensitive and should be unbiased in his messages.
A watchman is like a guard who keeps watch and he should be at alert and active at all times.
Your father could be a watchman, those who stand in the gap for you in prayers could be your watchman, your pastor or prophet could be your watchman. Hebrews 13:17
Watchman could be for you or against you, the reason why you don’t see much progress sometimes Is that many times the watchman from the devil sees the angels of God coming to bring a message from God for us, so they will cause confusion or steal the message. Satanic watchman spy on the progress of undetecting Christians. I pray that any watchman of the devil over your life will be sent away and never to come back by the almighty power of God..In Jesus name..Amen
You are safe if your watchman is with God but you are not safe if your watchman is with the devil or man.
It is God’s plan to set his watchman over his children, our watchman could be angels of God, you need to be a child of God before you can enjoy or make use of these watchman.

Every christian today must be found in Christ Jesus. if you are found in Christ Jesus then you will have your foundation in Him and you will be lost to the world and its pleasures.
When you are found in Jesus, then He will know you and recognise you as His own. Ephesians 3:16-17,philip 3:7-9
In the world today the world and its pleasures have entered the church and the body of Christ, it’s difficult to say if you are a christian or an unbeliever because both act the same, dress the same, talk the same, pray the same, appear the same, and have everything in common with the world, remember friendship with the world is enmity or enemy with God Colossians 3:1-10, Romans 8:7-8, James 4:4
If you are found in Christ then it means you will behave like Christ, talk like Christ and do and act the way Christ will want you to. Acts 4:13, Hebrews 12:14
It is impossible to be found in the world of pleasures and to be found in Jesus Christ at the same time because it is either you are holy or unholy Matthew 6:24, revelation 3:15-16
Prayer: Father I have been found in the world because I rejected your love, make me to be found in Christ Jesus and help me to be like you daily. Luke 9:23-26

Excellence is a very good thing and it means something interesting and perfect, excellence is not usually associated with evil things so when we talk about an excellent way, it means a way that leads to excellence proverbs 22:29
All that you do in life regarding your career, business, family, way of life must be done in an excellent way and it has fruitful rewards.
The pioneer of an excellent way is the Holy Spirit because without Him, it will be difficult to start the journey and remain in the excellent way proverbs 12:26,zech 4:6,Hebrews 4:16,1Corinthians 2:10-13
In the life of a christian, an excellent way is also strengthened with your relationship with God. philip 4:13 Isaiah 1:18-19,1 john 5:7,John 15:5
A prayerless, lazy, praiseless, disobedient, greedy, sinful christian will struggle on the way to excellence. The final destination of an excellent way of a Christian is heaven. Proverbs 12:24,prov 1:15-19,prov 2:13,prov 6:6
Prayer: Father take me through the excellent way and show me your grace to be connected to you all the way through..In Jesus Name..Amen

Restitution: The unpreached sermon 310514 (part 1)
Text: Ezekiel 33:14-16,luke 19:1-10
Many people avoid this instruction called “RESTITUTION” restitution in Christianity means confessing or giving back what was wrongly acquired or asking for forgiveness on evils committed towards a person.
Even after confessing your sins before God, if you are pressed in your spirit or you remember you have wronged an individual in the past, or your wrongly took someone’s possessions, you have to restore it back and ask for forgiveness.
In restitution when you can’t afford to pay back then confession to the victim settles it too.
Many will go to hell fire because they failed to restitute their wrong doings/past evil deeds towards another person.
Many people’s progress in life lies in making Restitution. God spoke concerning restitution to Ezekiel in chapter 33 verse 14-16
Restitution has a lot to do with making peace and giving back what was taking wrongly so that there will be no condemnation before God for an individual.
Many will have to restitute bad actions you maltreated someone when you were in the world now you are in Christ you have to go back and apologize to the person you hurt back then if he is alive and locate-able.
Many will restitute in terms of relationship, you promised a lady marriage, you slept with her, she made abortions for you, gave you her all, yet you dumped her for another woman, you must go back to apologize to her and make peace with her again.
Prayer: Father Lord Jesus, remind me of the restitutions I must make and help me to do them immediately. In Jesus Name..Amen
Holy Spirit of God will give remembrance.

Text: Romans 12:1,1 Corinthians 3:16-17,1 Corinthians 6:13-20
Let no man be a judge over others if he does not have the spirit of God, when you do so without the spirit of God, you shall be condemned 1Corinthians 2:15,16
In as much as your spirit is Holy, God wants your body to be Holy too.
Holy spirit + Holy body =Holiness (1)
That is the equation of God for Holiness and it has nothing to do with what we desire or like but what God desires.
The life of a christian is that of sacrifice
Holy spirit – Holy body = Unholiness/Sin (2)
If you can live a life of sacrifice to God in the spirit then you must live a life of sacrifice to God in the body too.
When equation (1) above is fully followed then your Holy sacrifice will be acceptable to God but if you follow equations (2) above then your holy sacrifice to God will not be acceptable unto God and it will only end in destruction.
Making your body holy as a sacrifice to God means using your body for the glory of God (Jehovah) and staying away from the lust, wants, pleasures of this sinful world.
Holy sacrifice = Body dead to sin (3)
A holy body will not drink,smoke,fornicate,masturbate,kill,gossip,backbite,lie,decorate itself with idols because it has been sacrificed to God 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
From the bible we can see that our bodies are for the Lord because Jesus bought it with a price from sin so let it therefore be used to glorify God just as our spirit belongs to God too.
One of the greatest enemy of bodily Holy sacrifice is sexual lust and anyone who engages in it will be destroyed by God himself 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
A body that is sacrificed Holy to God will not wear unholy things and things sacrificed to idols or represents idols too.
Don’t be ashamed to let people know that your body and spirit has been sacrificed to God and not to the devil or the pleasures and lust in the world.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, Please cleanse my body and spirit with the blood of Jesus and help me to present them as Holy sacrifice to you, for your glory. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
