So help me God
Text: hebrews 4:16
The nigerian national pledge ends with “so help me God”; the issue when nigerians pledge to be faithful,loyal and honest,to serve nigeria with all their strength,to defend nigeria’s unity and uphold her honour and glory..but fail to seek the strength of God to uphold all they have pledged will be failure;so is the body of Christ who have pledged to do the will of God,unite the body of christ but have failed to seek for the help of God.
The reason why the nation of nigeria is in a bad shape today is because we have neglected the help of God and have sought after the help of man and the devil; my prayer is that we won’t end up like the nation of turkey.
The bible makes it clear that we have the priviledge to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and also find grace to help in the time of need. Hebrews 4:16.
Coming to God for help is free and without fear,all you need is boldness with a step of faith.
God is the ultimate help a man needs to live a successful,fruitful and fulfilled life on earth.
You cannot do the things of God with the flesh but only with the help of God through the spirit. Romans 8:5-8
A good example is found in king david who always looked for help from God Almighty and we see some cross references in psalm 22:19; 27:9, 38:22, 63:7; 71:12; 109:26.
The famous psalm 121:1-8 is a powerful psalm of david that demonstrates the help of God on his beloved.
The help of God covers every area of you life;including security, feeding, protection, preservation and journey mercies.
Prayer: Lord God,please strengthen and help me,uphold me with the right hand of thy righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
According to a recorded video I watched; the nation of zambia is the only african nation in the whole world who I know has surrendered to the help of God in ruling his people,I don’t know if they still stand with God but I can say this is the kind of nation the Lord is ready and willing to help.
When God is your helper;it does not mean you won’t face challenges but that God would not allow your feet to be moved neither will you make you ashamed. Psalm 30:10-12; 54:4
Secondly the Lord will be a helper to those that help you and a stumblingblock to those that persecute you. Genesis 12:3
I conclude this message with Hebrews 13:6 so that we may boldly say,the Lord is my helper,and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Prayer: Lord Jesus be my helper and help me to make it home with you in Heaven for all eternity. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

They will hate you!
Text:1 john 3:13,matthew 10:22-23; 24:9
I begin this message by the words of brother John,the apostle in 1 john 3:13,which says marvel not,my brethren if the world hate you.
What does it mean to hate,to hate means to dislike somebody or something intensely or to have a strong distaste for something.
The world will hate you if your truly follow Jesus christ,Jesus himself knew this and he warned his disciples to be ready for this,they had to endure to the end of this persecution,matthew 10:22-23.24:9
It is not a surprise that the god of the world hates the God of the christians,this tells you how great this hatred would be.
Christians are not hated for the religion but for the person they follow Jesus christ who is the center of controversy. nations of the world that do not know Jesus will hate the witnesses of Jesus Christ and will do all within its power to afflict and kill the christians just for the name of Jesus preached, Matthew 24:9-10.
Many christians don’t know how lucky they are to practice their christianity in areas where there is no persecution and there is liberty in the Land; for instance,in the eastern part of the world,northern states of nigeria,christians are hated and persecuted daily for their faith,where governments close down churches.
If you truly follow Jesus Christ and you are a faithful christian,then don’t be surprised when they hate you in your schools,campuses,place of work,family all because you follow Jesus christ,pray for the strength to endure till the end. luke 21:17.
They will hate you when you don’t lie like they lie,when you don’t steal like they steal,when you don’t fornicate like they fornicate,when you don’t commit adultery like they do,when you don’t gossip like they gossip,most especially when you preach the gospel to everyone around you; that is why when you compromise or backslide,the world will welcome you back into its fold and friendship,beware so you don’t be discouraged.
Our Lord Jesus christ gives us detailed account in John 15:18-25. We see another clue to this hatred; the world hated Jesus Christ before it hated you,this makes it clear why the world hate you for Jesus’s name sake.
They persecuted Jesus when he was on earth for no just cause,he was persecuted for healing a man on the sabbath,he was persecuted for raising the lame to walk by the pharisees and sadducees of his time for no just cause,no reason.
If the world knew the true God,Jehovah,and the one he sent Jesus christ then they won’t hate you.
If we won’t be selfish christians then let raise our voices to pray for those persecuted and hated for the name sake of Jesus christ and let’s pray that the Lord convert the nations to know him and surrender to Jesus christ.
They will hate you because of your word,you speak the words of hope in christ Jesus,the world does not know such words because it is not of this world. John 17:14.
In the book of Jeremiah,we see that jeremiah was hated and persecuted for his words and they hated him for following yahweh without compromising. Jeremiah 18:18;20:2,33:1.
Many of the prophets of old were hated by their own people and nations of the world,so its not only present in the New testament only.
If you want to follow Jesus and you don’t want the world to hate you then you will be a lukewarm christian that is neither hot nor cold and that’s what the world wants like the laodicean church; revelations 3:14-16.
James 4:4 makes us know that friendship with the world is enmity with God,so if you are a friend of the world then you shall be an enemy of God.
Believers in Christ Jesus,don’t lower your standards when the world hates you because God has not lowered his standard.
Believers in Christ Jesus,don’t be lukewarm and reduce the intensity of your holiness messages because the world hates you.
Brethren in christ Jesus,don’t change your godly principles,doctrines,dress-sense because the world hates you.
Brethren in Christ Jesus don’t retaliate or avenge yourself when you are hated for Jesus Christ’s namesake by the world. Vengeance belongs to God,instead love them that hate you. (hebrews 10:30;romans 12:19) Jesus is Lord and Saviour

Prayer point regards smoking addiction (part 1)
The memory verse of the smoker who wants to quit should be philippians 4:13 which says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Please pray this prayer points below with boiling anger and spiritual madness.
1. Lord Jesus forgive me all my sins and let your precious blood that was shed on the cross wash me clean. Amen. isaiah 1:18; Matthew 26:28;mark 14:24;hebrews 9:22
2. Lord Jesus your word says in philippians 4:13 that” I can do all things through christ who strengthens me”,therefore Jesus my master and saviour,please give me strength to stay away from cigarette or hemp. Amen
3. Jesus you spoke in your word in matthew 19:26 says with man this is impossible,but with God all things are possible. I decree that I shall be free from smoking and I shall have my testimony.
4. Your word in John 8:32 says “and ye shall know the truth,and the truth shall set you free” therefore Jesus I have known the truth that smoking is a sin,set me free and complete in you.
5. In john 15:5 you said without you,we can do nothing,Lord Jesus help me to overcome this smoking addiction with your divine help.
6. Father,please remove the urge for nicotine that my brain uses to trigger the urge Lord and Do a miracle in my body today.
7. In 1 corinthians 6:12,the bible says according to the words of apostle paul that “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” Therefore I pray that I shall not be brought under the power of smoking,set be loosed today;In Jesus Name. Amen
8.Lord Jesus help me to put away my former self which was under the bondage of sinful desires to smoking,I put on a new man which is created in righteousness and true holiness. According to your words in ephesians 4 :22-25
9. Lord Jesus,the friends who lured me into this habit of smoking,save their souls and let us all be saved..Amen
10. Lord all the years I have lost to this habit,please Lord redeem my time so that my latter would still be better than my beginning.
11. Lord,thank you for this truth I have heard and help me not to miss heaven because of this smoking habit. Revelations 21:27. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

I’m busy Lord Jesus
Text: Matthew 8:19-22;Luke 9:57-62
Most time the excuse we have to commune with God our Father is “I’m busy” but we fail to know that the devil too is busy trying to destroy us. We are most times too busy for the One who can deliver us from All Evil.
Some people wants to complete their life task before listening to God like we read in matthew 8:21-22,where a disciple wanted to bury his father before following Jesus.
We read of another similar example in luke 9:57-62 where some disciples has excuses before they could follow Jesus,one wanted to bury his father,another wanted to bid his family farewell.
Many of us have been called to follow Jesus,but we tell Jesus,let me go to school first before I start your work,the Lord allows you to go to school and you complete it,you come up with another excuse,Lord let me marry because am getting old and my mates are all married,the Lord permits you to marry,then you tell the Lord,you know I have children let me be able to train them till they are matured enough to take care of themselves,then the Lord allows but they died and went to hell because of disobedience to the call of the Lord upon their lives!
My brother and sister,what are you holding dear to you like a possession, plan,craving,career or any worldly distraction that is making you too busy to follow the Lord: drop it today and follow the Lord without any delay.
The only time some of us are not busy to follow the Lord is when we are in trouble and no any means or alternative can save us,don’t take the Lord for a joker so he won’t ignore your call when next you call him like he did to the children of israel and judah when they took God for granted. Isaiah 1:15,jeremiah 11:11-14,ezekiel 8:18,
We have good examples of people in the bible who gave no excuse to follow the Lord: people like abraham (genesis 12:1-4);moses gave excuses but eventually still yielded to the call(exodus 3;4),gideon(judges 6),jephthah(judges 11),samuel(1 samuel 3:1-15),david(1 samuel 16:12),peter, andrew,james,john (matthew 4:18-22;John 1:40-43),paul(acts 9:1-9) and many more both in the old and new testament.
God is calling to every soul through the gospel preached about Jesus,many postponed their day of salvation because they don’t want to give-up sinful jobs,habits,charms and other pleasures.
You have another chance,and those who know Jesus,be careful lest you fall;1 corinthians 10:12. Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart;Don’t be too busy to get saved. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

Church of God (building or person)?
Text: Matthew 16:18,Acts 2:47
Church has so many definition depending on what it is associated with;
The church could be a building used by christians for religious services or programs or it could mean a particular christian group;that is the whole body of christians-in terms of congregation or denomination.
When we talk about the church,we should be very careful because even the synagogue of satan have their own Church. The church we are interested in here is the church of God also known as the Body of Christ.
The church was not seen clearly by the prophets in the Old testament;they saw the first and second coming of Jesus; failed to see the era of the church (according to bible scholars).
Jesus Christ when he was on earth had a conversation with his disciples where he told peter that he would build his church upon this rock and the gates of hell shall not overcome it; matthew 16:18.
we noticed that a form of leadership and emergence of the church as a body of christ started from that premise between peter and Jesus; in came to fulfilment in Acts 2 on the day of pentecost when the Holy Ghost came down from Heaven to dwell amongst men. Apostle peter was the first to speak and the Lord added to the church daily those who would be saved.(Acts 2:47)
In the representation of the church in the Old testament was likened the tabernacle and temple worship of God among the jews, exodus 25; which had its origin from mount sinai where God called his people israel to follow him. Exodus 19;24;31;34,
The early church had a simple and humble lifestyle where people brought what they had by selling their possession to give to the church and it was given as people had needs accordingly. Acts 2:44-46.
The early church was on fire for God and the Holy Spirit was in total control of its activities;sin and disobedience was punished and the fear of God was on every soul;ananias and sapphira’s story gives us an insight to how the early church manifested power,discernment and authority as we read in acts 5:1-11.
Jesus christ is the head of the church ephesians 5:23; colossians 1:15-20, your pastor,bishop,pope is just his overseers and can be replaced,I rather call ministers overseers as brother paul calls you(acts 20:28) than figureheads.
The early church was fervent in making intercession like they did in the case of peter and the Lord heard and rescued peter who was kept in the prison by king herod. Acts 12:1-19.
The church of Christ in the early christian days were persecuted heavily by the Jews and herod who wanted to please the jews;saul before his conversion persecuted the early church so terribly that he was greatly feared by the christians of the early church. acts 12;acts 7;8.1 corinthians. 15:9,
The church today feels like God has deserted them when persecution arise,but the early church endured persecution.
The church of God which is also the body of christ has many ministries,members and calling as seen in 1 corinthians 12:28 ephesians 4:1-13.
Whether you attend a wealthy church or you attend a poor church,what you must remember is that God looks at the heart that serves him and not the outer appearance or the beauty of your church building,this is not an excuse to neglect the beatification and maintenance of your church building;this must not be done through hardship but contribution by members and ministers in charge altogether.
The body of Christ is stronger when it is united,since we are one body in christ,then we must worship in one spirit and in diverse manner of operations. Apostle paul in his first letter to the corinthians explained in 1 corinthians 12 that we are one body in Christ. Every unit of the church is relevant to the growth and advancement of the church.
He also talked about the gifts and the categories which are apostles, prophets, teacher, miracles, healings, helps, government,diversities of tongues,please read 1 corinthians 12:28; romans 12:4-5,ephesians 4:4-12.
It is the joy of the Lord to add to the church those who would be saved but it is done through witnessing to the sinner as the apostles with peter as the spokesman did on the day of pentecost; Acts 2:47.
To the ministers in charge who have been appointed as overseers by the Holy Ghost you are advised to feed the Church of God (Acts 20:28),you did not die on the cross your members but christ died on the cross and has purchased us with his blood,this is a sealed transaction. Hallelujah.
You must ensure as a minister of God to feed your flock so that they will not be prey for false prophet and teachers who are desperate to scatter the flock.
In the early church,there was never confusion because when it came up,the Holy spirit was ready to bring forth orderliness. I give two instances; first instance was in acts 6:1-6,when the number of disciples multiplied and there was murmuring of the greeks against the hebrews over neglect of the widows of the greek in the daily ministration.
The apostles were quick to settle the dispute by the electing of seven men full of the Holy Ghost, wisdom and of a good report.
And another instance is in the church at corinth,where some said they were for paul,others of apollos but paul was able to address the issue in his letter in 1 corinthians 3:3-8.
Apostle paul made us to understand in his first letter to the corinthians 14:33,saying God is not an author of confusion but of peace,as in all churches of the saints.
The problem we have in the church today is that we have allowed envying and strife into the church among each other; that has caused the confusion,division and every evil work. James 3:16.
You are in trouble,if you are one of the rebellious agent used to cause a church to split into groups,you will not go scot-free or unpunished before the throne of judgment of God.
Ministers of God today kill their fellow ministers all in the name of position,other donate their church members to evil covens all in the name of power,fame and miracles. Prayers:
1. Lord Jesus,don’t let me or my family members be sacrificed on the evil altars of bad ministers in the quest for fame,position or power.
2. Lord Jesus, in any way I have been responsible for causing or upholding confusion or splitting of your church,help me to make amends and don’t let me die without restituting my actions.
The church today instead of being a hospital for the sinners to be healed,has become a stadium for sinners to be glorified in their sins..Jesus is watching and Judgment is coming quickly.
Jesus christ is not coming for redeemed church,livingfaith church,Jehovah witness,cherubium and seraphim,Lord chosen,Holiness revival movement or any other famous church on earth but for all churches in general who have Jesus christ as their Head.
In heaven there will be no church denomination like we have on earth,all that is only useful here on earth. Remember there will be surprises in heaven on churches.
Brethren, don’t take the glory of the church you are overseeing to yourself but unto Jesus Christ so you won’t be disgraced. Ephesians 3:21.
You are the Church and not the building,Jesus is coming for us the church and not our church buildings. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

Jesus: The Amen
Text: Revelation 3:14;2 Corinthians 1:20;john 1:51
The word “Amen” when used in prayer literally mean “so shall it be” is a form of declaration of affirmation Common English translations of the word amen in the bible are “verily” and “truly”. It can also be used colloquially to express strong agreement when used in another context.
Amen is a word derived from Hebrew language but passed through languages like Aramaic,Greek and Latin yet its one of the most difficult words to translate to another language;instead of translating it,it is just borrowed into another language.
Our Lord Jesus Christ gave a revelation to apostle John on the isle of patmos. In the book of revelations 3:14
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Our Lord Jesus referred himself as “the Amen” meaning truly,verily or truth. He is also the truth and faithful witness who is the beginning of the creation of God.
Jesus is the Truth,as seen in John 14:6,its worthy of Note that Jesus is the only messiah to prophesy about himself,fulfil himself and manifest himself throughout all eternity.
Jesus is the beginning of creation with God,as seen in revelations 3:14,the book of John 1:1-4 confirms this also.
Jesus is the Verily,the truly,the truth,the amen simply because no lie can be found in him.
The scriptures tell us that Jesus Christ is the “Yes” to all of God’s promises and our “Amen” is the glory of God.1 Corinthians 1:20(GNB). C.f john 1:51
We see that no scripture is of its own interpretation or secret meaning,they explain themselves. Let’s us remember that the “Yes” we need to claim the promises of God are all in Jesus christ our Lord. Prayer: Lord Jesus be my “Yes” and “Amen” all the days of my life. Amen Jesus is Lord and Saviour

The Last Message

The Last Message
Text: Jonah 1:1-3;Jonah 3:2-10;Romans 6:23,Daniel 5;2 peter 3:9
I heard of a minister who was led to preach to a man and his son at a barber’s shop,but the Father refused his son to accept Jesus as his Lord and saviour; unfortunately for them on their way from the barbershop they had a fatal accident and both Father and Son lost their lives.
A sinner usually has a special last opportunity to repent through a last message but the devil will not allow them to make use of the last opportunity so they lose their souls in Hell fire for all eternity.
In the book of Jonah,we read of a great city called Nineveh who got a last message of repentance to repent from their wickedness; the Lord sent prophet Jonah the son of amittai to go and cry against the city;(Jonah 1:1-3).
When they heard the last message from God through Jonah,the people of Nineveh believed God and proclaimed a fast and put on sackcloth and sat in ashes as decreed by the king and his nobles.(Jonah 3:2-10)
God Almighty in Jonah 3:10 repented of the evil he said he would do to the city of nineveh because they turned from their evil way before the end of 40days of Jonah’s cry against the city.
I heard of a message from Dr. Daniel Olukoya where a wayward daughter and her parents came to see him so he asked the young lady to accept Jesus but only the parents did,on their way back they had an accident with a fuel tanker and they parents were rescued but the daughter was trapped in the car and her parents watched her to burn to death.
Anybody loved by God must never hesitate to accept his hand of love when he sends his salvation message to him;that could be your last message. There is no repentance in death,we can only repent when we are alive.
My prayer for you today is that you shall not forsake God when you have the last opportunity to repent and turn to Jesus.
No one knows his last day on earth but we all pray that we don’t die untimely, but sorry its not always a prayer that is answered but the ultimate prayer is that we should pray that the Lord should make us make heaven when death calls and the power of his resurrection be at work in our lives.
In the scriptures we read in romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. The gift of eternal life is in the gospel of Jesus christ to the sinner;to reject the gift of eternal life is to be condemned to punishment for all eternity.1 peter 4:6,2 timothy 1:10;2 thessalonians 1:8;galatians 1:1-12.
In the book of daniel 5,we read of a king named belshazzar;the son of nebuchadnezzar; who got a last message from God by the writing of fingers of a man’s hands on the wall of the palace. daniel interpreted the writing on the wall to belshazzar and that night he was slain by the chaldeans.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to yield to your warning whenever you call to me,Jesus give me a new heart of obedience and repentance before it is too late..Amen
There are many last messages of repentance sent daily to people everyday but not all yield in obedience; this is where personal evangelism comes into play and we need to tell everyone around us of God’s love for the sinner;likewise we who are saved;must be careful so that we are not a cast away at the last day.
Remember God is not interested in the death of a sinner but wants everyone to come to repentance,2 peter 3:9.
Please do not ignore this message. God loves you and wants you to make it home in Heaven for all eternity. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

The profitable man
Text: Job 22:2;proverbs 6:4-10;matthew 11:28
The profitable man, I actually wanted to give a short message on this topic for people who are searching for a job or a source of livelihood. Profitability in its simple definition means yielding profit or useful.
Most times we forget that the way God views a man who is profitable is very different from the way man sees it. Men who are profitable in both ways are not lazy and misinformed people.
It is the will of God for man to be profitable to God and himself(man) but most people today are profitable to the devil and themselves only.
How we live our lives,our habits,attitude to work matters a lot if we desire to be profitable,is it through sheer hardwork and perseverance or laziness and procrastination?
Knowledge and wisdom is needed and very important for becoming profitable;(ecclesiastes 10:10) likewise prayerfulness and meditation is key to resolving the path you should take so that you won’t walk in ignorance.
You might have acquired the best houses,set-up a viable business, developed an investment that could last for a lifetime,have the best of what life could offer and yet not be profitable before God. In the gospel of luke we read of a parable of a rich fool by Our Lord Jesus Christ in luke 18:16-21; he was profitable in the work of his hands but not profitable or useful to God;which made God collect his soul. Can a man be profitable unto God? Job 22:2;
Father abraham,isaac,Jacob,david and daniel were profitable before man and before God,this makes it possible for me and you too. Genesis 24:1;26:12;daniel 2:48;2 samuel 5:10
Right from the beginning of man in genesis 2;God created man to be profitable unto him but man chose the wrong path which made thorns and thistles to be the result of the labour of his hands genesis 3:17-19. Jesus came to abolish it for those who believed on him and therefore restored the profitability of man,matthew 11:28.
Many today are looking for white collar jobs that is scarce like gold but have been blinded to look at the informal sector of the economy and are praying for what has already been provided.
I believe you have to start something small than just remaining idle when the white collar job does not show up, because it is a small thing that grows big and don’t be too proud to do some jobs,you never might tell where your financial breakthrough lies. Zechariah 4:10a
Prayer: Lord Jesus,open my eyes to see where the work of hand will be profitable and help me to be wise to acquire it.
Reading the book of proverbs, ecclesiastes give visible approach to becoming profitable tirelessly.
For instance in proverbs 6:4-10 gives a clear instruction on how to beat poverty. Poverty comes by laziness,ignorance and prayerlessness
Prayer: Lord God,the Almighty,save my soul from physical and spiritual poverty.
Profitability and diligence go like twins and for you to sustain being profitable then you need to be diligent in your work, proverbs 13:4 says but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
Its not all successful businesses that live to stay on-top that is where diligence comes into play.
It is the will of God that we are profitable both physically and spiritually during our lifetime.
In the real sense you must be ever ready to take risk and do your best to get knowledge;because ignorance destroys and causes suffering.
Successful profitable people take lots of risk; the greater the risk taken the greater the profit when its successful.
As christians,God wants us to get good jobs but not jobs that goes against our faith and christian belief;it is good we position ourselves where the sinner will not have the right to question our christianity.
In being profitable,it is either you work for God,work for man or work for the devil;whoever you work for will pay you your wages.
The worst regret any man can have is not making use of his life and having to live long to bear the disappointment that cannot be atoned.
The goodnews is if you work for God: you will get your reward without failure in Heaven, where thieves and robbers cannot steal your reward from you.
The hardcore truth is that God has not called everyone into the same place and position so you must not envy a person because of his business and therefore venture into it because he is successful in his business. You must carefully study,pray and discover your place of opportunity and make plans to turn it to a marketable venture.
Many people are not profitable just because they did not discover their opportunity themselves but followed others line of business and that results to shame and frustration.
The Holy Spirit is not only useful for spiritual matters;you can also enquire from him on life career matters because he knows where the square peg fits into the holes of your life and how to discover your life goal.
You can’t be profitable to God when you envy and destroy the profitability and success of others,its not a curse but the truth.
You can be profitable to God when you don’t train others to be successful,a wise counsel could save a person from sudden destruction and shame,God sees you profitable when you are loving to help others succeed in life and making sure people don’t lose eternity because of the profits of this world.
The bible is the best book that makes and mar people;it makes the righteous and mars the wicked;its a double edged sword that never fails nor fades.
The profitable man is a man who gains in the world and not lose their souls to the devil;the worst mistake a man can make is to sell his soul to the devil in order to be profitable in this world.
Money rituals of all kind;drugs trafficking,prostitution and other negative works are bloody jobs that might make you profitable in this world but definitely make you lose your soul and end up not profitable to God.
Prayers: Lord I need you to make me profitable in my plans and occupation,don’t let me lose heaven because of the luxury and profitability of the world.
Even the work of God here on earth must not always be profitable in terms of money but it must be profitable in terms of souls won to Jesus christ.
It is important that you don’t judge the profitability of a ministry by its size of the congregation and the lavish of wealth on the pastor and the church building.
My prayer is that you will know the area of your life that the Lord wants you to be profitable in his vineyard. In Jesus Name..Amen
Don’t forget no business started big;every long standing business started small and when you read the story of coca-cola,cnn and other big businesses they all started in a little humble way but they are world class today;same goes for the churches you see today like winners chapel,redeemed christian church of God,deeper christian life church amongst others. Don’t be afraid to start small,that’s where true profitablilty pays and starts. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

The Mission is possible
Text: Philippians 4:13, Zechariah 4:6
There is a blockbuster series called Mission Impossible,where difficult and impossible missions are assigned to an agent;this agent always found a way to accomplish his missions.
Every human being have been assigned missions that seems impossible from the womb,that is why many choose to commit suicide half-way through the journey;others give up along the journey through life.
We have had christian entrepreneurs and inventors who shook the world and took the body of Christ by surprise like david green an american founder of hobby lobby that dealt with arts and crafts,he built his business on biblical principles Henry J. Heinz;who was famous for his ketchup,
conrad hilton;founder of the hilton hotel chains,
Hilary “zig ziglar” the motivational speaker,
Sam walton(founder of wal-mart stores,
James C. Penney;founder of the J. C. Penney stores,
cyrus McCormick founder of the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company;whose last words according to a biographical sketch were: “its all right.I only want Heaven.”,
Robert G LeTourneau who was an american businessman,inventor and academic with nearly 300 patents, James L Kraft was a canadian born inventor and entrepreneur.
What is common to those christian entrepreneurs and inventors listed above is that they fulfilled their missions yet they were christians who built their businesses on christian and biblical principles and still endeavoured to make Heaven.
One passage in the scripture gives us an assurance that the Mission is possible; philippians 4:13 says:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Apostle paul in his letter to the philippians he assured them of who gives him strength to do all he is doing;this does not sound like pride but confidence in the capacity of Jesus Christ my Lord.
Now this verse must be properly applied by a christian,it is not a verse we use to commit evil or to be successful in wickedness or atrocity. This verse applies to those who need to take a bold step of faith or fight an addiction or fear.(2 (timothy 1:7)
When God gives you an assignment or mission we often fail to recognise where the power to carry it out comes from: the power to carry out the purpose,plan,and will of God for our lives does not lie in the anointing alone but in his Word(Joseph depended on the Word of God;Samson depended on anointing).
We read of a man zerubbabel in ezra,whom the Lord gave a mission in rebuilding the house of the Lord alongside nehemiah after their return from captivity into Jerusalem, zerrubabel faced opposition and the enemy was preventing him from accomplishing the mission(Ezra 4:1-24). In ezra 4:24,we see that the work on the rebuilding of the house of the Lord ceased and almost caused the work of God to be aborted in the hands of zerrubabel because of the enemies of the children of judah and benjamin, when the enemies of judah and benjamin petitioned Artaxerxes the king.
But zerubbabel did not give up but took steps to ensure his mission did not fail(ezra 5:2)
Prayer: the eye of the Lord that will cause you not to cease on the matters concerning your life until God gives you the answer on the matters of your life;receive it now. In Jesus Name.. Amen(ezra 5:5)
I pray for someone reading this message that the Hand of the Lord that will overturn every judgment that is standing your way to your favour, so that you can fulfil the mission God has put in your hands; receive it In Jesus Name..Amen
People who know their mission are not lazy or cowards in their attitude to working out the fulfilment,like we learnt in the life of zerubbabel and nehemiah alike; you are a failure to God only when you give up on your mission.
In Zechariah 4:6,an angel of the Lord came to give word to prophet nehemiah concerning zerrubabel and that was to assure him that its not by his power or might that he would fulfil the mission of God but by the Spirit of God.
Prayer: Lord Jesus,the Spirit and power that I need to make my mountains become plain and will make me bring forth the headstone with shouting of grace,release unto me Now;Amen (zechariah 4:6-7)
If you want to be married,have children,have a business or any other life mission according to the will of God,then know its not by your wisdom,power and might but by the Spirit of God,this Spirit has been manifested to us as the Holy Spirit.(Romans 8:26-28)
You cannot access the spirit of God without Jesus Christ,(1 corinthians 12:3)please note that there are false spirits in this world who give accomplishments to men but at the cost of their soul and eternity.
For your mission to be divinely accomplished,it must take you to heaven,meaning missions made possible and accomplished on earth and perfected with the eternal destination in Heaven with Jesus; so your case will not end like the man in the scriptures who gains the world but loses his soul;according to matthew 16:26,mark 8:36.
God does not discourage us on our mission,he wants every mission in your hands to be possible and successful (Jeremiah 29:11) ,apostle paul had a glorious accomplishment of his mission as recorded in 2 timothy 4:6-8.
Therefore brethren;the question I have for you today is: “are you willing and ready to make your mission possible”? Yes you are ready; I have answered it for you because I know 1 john 4:4 will help you. God bless you richly..In Jesus Name..Amen

Shall Joy be in Heaven over you?
Text: Luke 15:1-10
Looking at this context in the gospel of Jesus Christ according to apostle Luke; we see one major reason that is a genuine source of joy in Heaven for God that makes angels even leap for joy.
Angels,saints do not cause this loud joyful celebration before God but a common sinner who is ready to repent.
Luke 15:1-10 gives us an insight to what could cause the angels in heaven to leap in joy before God.
Our Lord Jesus makes us know that its a sinner that causes this joy but something special about this sinner: what is special is a sinner coming into repentance and forsaking his sinful ways.
Christians you have not been sent to the born-again of your church but the sinners round you. Jesus christ likened this leap of Joy to two parables:
1. Luke 15:4-6; A man having an hundred sheep then if he loses one;he leaves the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after that which has been lost until he finds it again. When he finds it then puts it on its shoulder as a mark of rejoicing over the sheep that was found. Rejoicing with friends because of one sheep that was lost is found.
2 luke 15:8-9 this parable explains how a woman having ten pieces of silver,she loses one and gets a lighting to search the darkest places of the house and even if to turn the house upside down just to seek diligently till she finds it.
When she finds the one silver piece,she calls friends and neighbour to rejoice with her.
Verses 7 and 10 gives us this mystery why there is loud rejoicing in heaven over a sinner who repents.
Psalm 51:5 gives us a clue of why everyone was born a sinner and a reminder that we were conceived in sin by birth;romans 3:23 says everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
I want to let you know that its not only the angels that rejoice but also the saints who have departed ahead of us(the cloud of witnesses)hebrews 12:1
So if you want to be a person who you want heaven to remember you and not take you for granted then give your life to winning souls and getting sinners freed from the chains of destruction for all eternity. mark 9:13;luke 5:32;
It is when you admit you are a sinner who needs to be saved and then that is the first step of moving towards repentance. Mark 2:17
This joy remains over a righteous one,God will do everything to preserve his own.
If there is joy in the presence of the angels of God In heaven over a sinner that repents then it means when a righteous forsakes the good way and compromises then the angels of God will be sad. we have to stand strong and endure to the end; luke 9:62,matthew 10:22 The questions you need to ask yourself are:
1. is the angels of God in heaven rejoicing over me?
2. Is my name written in the book of life and am I rapturable when the Lord comes for the elect? 3. Am I saved?
4. Can I endure till the end?
5. Who am I following: Jesus,my pastor,my ego?
6. Where will I spend eternity?
These questions help us to determine if we are prepared to let heaven keep rejoicing over us? Finally brethren: Shall Joy be in Heaven over you?

The heartbeat of God
Text: John 3:16;Isaiah 49:14-16;Isaiah 1:15-19;Matthew 25:41;mark 16:15

The heartbeat of God is not just holiness, righteousness, but LOVE.
Just like the heartbeat of a mother is love towards her children and will make her give up her life just for the survival of her unborn child and the goodnews is much greater is the Love of God towards us humans and did not want anyone to perish but to have eternal life and this was made known to us by the Words of Jesus Christ himself in John 3:16 according to the gospel of apostle John which says 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The world termed there is not the earth but the humans who are in the image of God on earth.
In the old testament we read of a show of the Love of God to the children of israel in isaiah 49:14-16 the Lord will never forget his children that is why we are engraved on the palms of his hands.
The heartbeat of God is love but sin brought judgement and condemnation and this made it seems like we are not loved by God; and isaiah 1:15-19 shows us an approach God makes with unfaithful children.
Hellfire was not original created for man but for the devil and his angels; sin and disobedience brought disobedient people to hell as seen in the words of Jesus christ himself in matthew 25:41
A powerful passage of the scriptures according to apostle paul says in romans 5:8 that God commended his love towards us,in that, while we were yet sinners,christ died for us.
Jesus christ is the full extent of God’s love to us and it is expected that the heartbeat of the church today should be evangelism.
Evangelism is the going all out in search for lost souls and given by our Lord Jesus christ in mark 16:15.
In the times of old,the church went to bring sinners to itself through mass crusades,great revivals but different is the case today where we are expecting sinners to come to the church which is not always the case.
Many people say if God truly loves us why then does he allow people to go to hell for condemnation;this is seen as a major excuse people fail to believe there is hellfire for condemnation.2 peter 3:9 gives a reason why God is not interested in the death of a sinner.
It is ignorance to go into argument about Eternity and God,those who will believe will believe and those who will not believe are also free not to believe.
It is our duty to tell the World that God loves us and does not want us to perish but that the world has chosen its own path which is against the will of God.
the apostles of Jesus especially Apostle paul and peter lived a diligent life of evangelism to the jews and the gentiles and they gave up their lives for this course and died martyrs. 2 timothy 4:17;1:11;1 peter 4:6;
I want you to know that God loves you and has done everything to make sure that you don’t perish but come to meet him at home in heaven for all of eternity through his Son Jesus Christ our saviour. John 14:1-9;revelation21. Jesus is Lord and Saviour
