Topic: Come to my wedding 24-5-2021
Text:Revelation 19:7,9
On earth one of the glorious events that can happen to any adult is his/her day of wedding. Weddings are so glorious that parents and couples will want to spend a fortune on organizing their wedding so as to make it memorable.Every man and woman will look forward to this day. Weddings on earth could be interrupted by compromise on the bride or groom not to proceed with the marriage but the wedding in heaven cannot.
In john chapter 2 it is no surprise that the first public miracle the Lord Jesus did was at a wedding,even though we don’t have the names of the couples at the Jewish wedding feast,we read that Jesus made it memorable by given them six stone waterpots of heavenly brewed wine.(john 2:1-8)Heaven and earth will pass away but the word of God will not pass away without being fulfilled.
There is an invitation from our Lord and Saviour Jesus(the Lamb)himself to his marriage with his bride(church).Rev 19:7,9.Only those who are washed with the blood of Jesus and their names are written into the book of lamb will be allowed entry into this glorious ceremony.Jesus Christ is saying come to my wedding: the marriage supper of the lamb and his bride.
May the Lord count us fortunate.
