Moving forward: Family
Text: Genesis 2:20-25,Proverbs 18:22.
The first relationship God made for mankind was the family relationship.
Adam and eve were created to start a family that will have dominion and multiply through their seeds.
Definitely for you to progress this year 2017,it is the will of God for you to commence and sustain your journey towards marital fulfillment.
God is not happy when his children experience failed marriages,he emphasises this in his word; malachi 2:16,Matthew 5:31-32.
When God is absent in the choosing of a life partner then he might not forcefully get involved when the storms of marriage starts.
Moving forward for the year for some people is to get settled maritally and obtain more Favour from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22.
Building a family with godly seeds is the will of God and he derives pleasure seeing us enjoy our marriages.
There is another set of people the Lord wants to reach,these people are those divorced or separated.
Divorce and separation are two sicknesses of a faulty marriage and it always becomes a setback for the partners involved.
In true terms whenever you have a partner who is irreconcilable,then even the reconciling partner is handicapped.
I pray for anyone having setbacks in their marriages that the Lord will give you solutions to your broken marriages in Jesus name,amen.
Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 7,gives us useful instruction for us to get married,also avoiding fornication,verse 1-2
He addressed the issue of denying your partner sex and attention in verse 3-4. Now this is one mistake many couples make especially wives or pastor husbands, they deny their spouse sex all in the name of spirituality and fasting,remember you are ignorant allowing the devil inbetween you and your spouse and God frowns at it, Verse 5.
It is admonished that couples agree on sex fasting before commencing on prayer fasting. Amos 3:3.
Apostle Paul talked about widows remarrying and singles marrying if they cannot hold their body ,better to marry than burn with passion,verse 8-9.
This part of the letter of Paul to the Corinthians in verse 10-11,Paul was against a wife leaving her husband.
In the event of any divorce or separation,Paul admonished that she should remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband.
As a Christian,never compare your marriage to other marriages around you because it is not all that glitters that is gold.
Sometimes its easy to castigate people for separation or divorce of their spouses,we might actually do the same if we were in their shoes. I pray for someone reading this post that God will heal and sustain your marriage.in Jesus name.amen
In the marital vows of Christians,it is for better for worse,sickness or health,in riches or poverty till death separates the couples. The same church that gives this vow sometimes do not do enough to broker peace in stormy marriages.
The manual for peace in marriages is given in the scriptures and hear this,you will give account of how you take care and nurtured your family.
Any couple that fails to resolve marriages in earth will not resolve it in heaven.
Moving forward in the family setting is a personal journey and it takes commitment and sacrifices. I pray that you will not endure your marriage but enjoy it.
If you can be happy on your wedding day,nothing should stop you from being happy all the days of your marriage.
Even in the 1 Corinthians 7, We read about unbelieving spouses should not be left alone because the believing partner sanctifies the unbelieving one. You don’t know if you will win the unbelieving soul over to the Lord.
We shall move forward with the grace of God,When your family is moving forward then you are moving forward too and your work will be smooth without worries.

Message and Prayer point for today 250816
Our prayer point shall be taken from Ecclesiastes 5:1-5
It is a pity that many today owe God many vows after a testimony has been done in their lives and after that they fail to fulfil their vows.
Some people will branch their girlfriend or boyfriend’s house before going for church meetings or fellowship;many even commit fornication or dangerous Sins before going to the House of the Lord,with the hope that they will go and repent when they get to the Lord’s house; even increasing difficult to bear is that some people go to the house of God to steal and seduce. Every of such action is an abomination to the Lord.
A person who does not fulfil to pay his vow or pledge is seen as a fool before God and God hates the company of a fool.
The major problem that causes people to make rash decision is that our mouths are too hasty or quickly to speak before God. Verse 2. Secondly vows sometimes comes from a heart and mind that has underestimated the power of God almighty.
1. Lord help me to be careful of what I do before I enter the house of God. Major reasons why prayers are hindered. 2. Lord help me to listen whenever I come to worship you.
3. Let help me never to make rash promises before you without thinking it through. Don’t let me end like jephthah
4. God you are in heaven,I am on earth. help me not to talk too much or say more than I can do.
5. Lord I want to think about finishing strong and becoming your vessel unto honour,help me to dream about it.
6. If you talk too much you will say the wrong thing like a foolish person..Lord help me to be wise.
7.God you don’t like fools,help me not to be slow to fulfilling my promises to you.
8. It is better not to make a promise at all than to make one and not keep it. Lord Jesus every promise I made to you or to man and I failed to keep. Please have mercy on me and help me to fulfil them or blot them away.
9. Every promises my forefathers have made with fallen-gods and idols about their children and it is demanding me to keep it. Cancel it with your blood today because you have the greatest covenant.
10. Ancient of days,in anyway I have taken you and your temple for granted. Have mercy on me and show me your grace. Oyewole Ademola Ojo
