Justification

Topic: Justification

Text: Romans 4:25, 5:16-18; Romans 3:26; Galatians 2:16-17,

Introduction

A sinner can never be justified in his sins only a repentant sinner washed by the blood of Jesus Christ will be justified by faith. You need to have a new birth in Jesus Christ inorder to achieve spiritual justification with God, (John 3).

According to bible theology, Justification is the action of declaring or making righteous in the sight of God.

Apostle Paul in his epistles to the Romans talked extensively about justification, justifier and being justified as it relates to a believer.

In Romans 3:10, it tells us that there is none righteous, not even one. Justification is possible after righteousness has been achieved in the sight of God.

The bible tells us in Romans 3:20-22 tells us that the law cannot justify us in the sight of God but the righteousness of God is on all those who believe only by faith in Jesus Christ.

Condemnation to sin and death is what is the result of the absence of justification to life and peace therefore justification is the kind act of God removing the guilt and consequence of sin thereby making a sinner righteous through the atoning sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the cross.(2 Corinthians 5:21)

Simply justification is the declaring of a person to be just or righteous.

Justification is a legal term with a meaning like acquittal and relating to religion justification is a process whereby a person is declared right before God.

The verbal translation meaning of “to justify” means “to declare righteous”.

The spiritual state of justification was not widely expository in the Old Testament because it was the period of the law but Job talked a little about it but it was yet incomplete in itself. Job 11:2, 13:18

What Justification entails:

  • We are justified by the grace of Jesus Christ also thereby making us heirs; Titus 3:7.
  • God is just and he is the justifier of a man which believeth in Jesus; Romans 3:26.
  • We are justified by the blood of Jesus no other blood can justify a man; Romans 5:9
  • Jesus was raised for our justification, we are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ; this means the atoning death of Jesus is critically important in our justification (Romans 4:25).
  • A man is justified by faith this brought about peace with God through Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1.
  • We are not justified by works or observing the law, Romans 3:28, Galatians 2:16.
  • We are made righteous by the saving work of Christ which is accepted by God to be righteousness, Romans 5:8-10.

Conclusion

It is therefore clear from the New Testament that justification comes to the sinner by the atoning work of Jesus with his blood shed on the cross which is applied by faith to a sinner by faith.

Justification is not the forgiveness of a man without righteousness, but a declaration that he possesses a righteousness which perfectly and forever meets the requirement of the law, which is Christ’s righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 4:6-8.

How to pray: who can pray? {Part 2}

How to pray: who can pray? {Part 2}
Text: Matthew 6:5-15, mark 11:24, 1 peter 3:2
Who can pray is a very important question being asked by people today?
Anyone can pray to God but not everyone’s prayer is heard by God. John 6:37, psalm 66:18-20.
Anyone who prays must first believe God exist and can answer; even if he does not receive an answer, he will still believe in the power of God and will not curse at God for any reason.
Sometimes people ask that why should I pray since God knows what I am passing through, let’s answer it this way: even if your earthly father knows you want a bicycle, he is bound to give you until you ask him. Matthew 7:7-11 explains it better.
God is greater than our earthly parents, guardians and he has the capacity to give us all things.1 Corinthians 2:12, romans 8:32, Philippians 4:19.
Anyone can pray to God but the prayer of a sinner is like noises to God, so if you want your prayers to count, then:
1. Confess your sins. 1 john 1:8-9, Jeremiah 33:8, Isaiah 64:6, Jeremiah 5:25, Micah 7:18-19
2. Believe God exists and He alone can answer your prayers. Matthew 21:22, Hebrews 11:6, Daniel 11:32.
3. Believe in Jesus as the only way to the Father. John 14:6, 13
4. Thank him whether you see the answers or not. 1 Thessalonians 5:18, phillipians 2:9-11, Colossians 3:17, Ephesians 5:20.
5. Keep praying. Isaiah 64:4, Jude 1:20, 1 peter4:7, 1 timothy 2:8, I Thessalonians 5:17; 3:10, Colossians 4:2.
The reason for number 3 above is crucial in prayer is because many religions claim to go through deities to get to God and are full of deceit.
Many tend to stop praying when they notice that nothing is done about their situation, that is where they actually fall and the devil rejoices over them and steals their answers. James 5:133-19, Philippians 4:6, Ephesians 6:18, Romans 12:12, Luke 21:36

Religion 2 090214

Religion 2 090214
Text: acts 26:5, 10-18, john 8:12, 1 peter 2:12
No generation is spared from the power of religion, the worst form of violence or wars are those based on religion or belief.
Many religions today fight for their god instead of proving the power their god carries.
Elijah did not fight for God but he proved the supremacy of God most High 1 kings 18:36-40.
Daniel did not fight for God but proved the vindicative, omniscient and protective power of God. Daniel 3, 6.there are so many people who proved the God they serve in the bible.
Religion of today is partial, condemning or full of hatred towards other religion.
Jesus brought the religion of hope, life, peace and love to mankind..John 8:12
Jesus had issues with the Pharisees because they were partial in the way they handled people, correcting people, made people feel hopeless, made the rules and laws instead of God making the rules and laws..Matthew 12:1-14, John 8:1-12.
People who practice such religion only lead themselves and others to hell fire Matthew 23:13.
Why should you kill others or force them to follow your religion, it is a show and a sign of hatred.
Christians remember that the religion the atheist and unbelievers see is in your lifestyle and show of love and power you carry so that is the religion God sees. Matthew 5:16, 1 peter 2:9, 12.
Prayer: God prove yourself in my life for others to see and let them turn to you by the outcome of your power you bestow on my life.

Religion: atheist

Religion: atheist
Text: James 2:19, John 3:16, 18, 36 Titus 3:8
Religion is a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that controls human destiny or an institution to express belief in a divine power.
Humans easily practice religion because it is a force that shapens the destiny of men and women. Religion affects your culture.
Whatever supernatural power you believe in becomes your religion for example, muslim,Christian,Pharisee,Sadducee, ogun, osun, obatala, even if you don’t believe in God, you practice the atheism religion, the only difference is that you deny the existence of God.
Atheist is a very foolish form of religion because whether you believe God exist or you deny God exist, he still exist and he rules and reigns in the heaven and earth.
So even if you do believe god exist, you do well because the devils, demons and principalities know and believe there is one God and they tremble before God, how much more a mere mortal man. James 2:19.
There are so many religions about the nature and existence of God which leads to several doctrines made available to mankind… Hebrews 13:9
I saw a video of a dentist who didn’t believe god exist, the answer he got from his patient was remarkable, she told the dentist that there are so many people with teeth problem, many even lose their lives to these problems, but the dentist cannot help them unless they come to him..John 3:16, 18, 36; 1 john 4:19.
Furthermore I will even say that god has the power and capacity to save everyone who comes to him with a sincere heart; since he loved us before we loved him
Prayer: God please forgive me in any way I have doubted your existence. In Jesus name I have prayed. Titus 3:8.

Secret discipleship

Secret discipleship
Text: John 3:1-21, Luke 1:1-4, John 19:38-42
A secret disciple: who is a secret disciple in terms of Christianity? A secret disciple is someone who wants to follow Jesus Christ but does not have the boldness or opportunity to declare his allegiance to Jesus because of resistance from his former religion or family.
We shall look at some secret disciples or followers of Christ from the bible and how it relates to us today in this present dispensation.
Secret discipleship is what is needed to win souls in other religion and to avoid complication and tribulations for converts that are not stable or independent enough to declare their faith in Jesus Christ.
We shall take clues or examples from the bible for some secret disciples.
First of all we read in John 3:1-21, where the ruler of the Jews, a Pharisee named nicodemus.
From biblical indication nicodemus was on the opposing side of Jesus Christ but still wanted to know more about Jesus.
In those days a Pharisee was one of the people who govern the Jews and nicodemus was also a member of the Sanhedrin, we later read of him in John 19:39-40 where he came to collect the body of Jesus after his death on the cross and he came with Joseph of arimathea who was another secret disciple of Jesus who came for the body of Jesus Christ.
They did not follow Jesus in the day but believed in him and came to him by night because of the fear of their fellow Jews and the position they held in the rulership of the Jews.
Sometimes in the winning of souls we should exercise wisdom and it does not mean they will not make it to heaven if they don’t openly declare their allegiance to Jesus Christ.
Secret discipleship is needed in strange territories where violence is shown towards the christian religion and this gives birth to secret meetings for converts and worshippers of Christ Jesus.
Jesus is Lord and Saviour
