Admonition for 050117
Text: 1 peter 1:1-3
The word of God should be your model for judging and lifestyle, the yardstick to measure,this year don’t just read the word of God over the social media and internet but also study and meditate on it personally.
Believe and claim the promises in the word of God,don’t just read it casually.
In this season according to the words of apostle peter,lay aside all malice,don’t keep malice with anyone,forgive everyone who hurts you unconditionally and allow no guile,don’t deceive anyone,no pretense to anyone.
Don’t be an hypocrite,it is dangerous for christians to be hypocrite because the Lord hates hypocrites that is “do as I say not as I do people”. Matthew 7:5, 22:18, 23:13-39, Job 13:16,27:8,34:30, proverbs 11:9, Isaiah 33:14.
Don’t envy other people’s progress negatively,some people have a problem with you when you begin to prosper and you have things working out for you;if you used to envy people and always give negative remarks about people because they are now successful,stop it now so that the Lord does not stop your progress too and you ultimately end up destroying yourself. Job 5:2,romans 13:13,galatians 5:26,titus 3:3,proverbs 14:30,27:4.
For where envy and strife is, there must be confusion and every evil work. James 3:16.
The high priest and chiefs delivered Jesus to be crucified because of envy. Mark 15:10,Matthew 27:18.
Joseph was sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers because of envy,acts 7:9.
If you are not chosen for a particular situation or position,wait for your time,congratulate the person chosen ahead you and pray that the Lord exalt you quickly.
Do away with evil speakings,the world we live in now entertains negative words,its found in movies, cartoons, music and forms of greetings.
If you want to be rapturable when Jesus comes or when death calls,you must not allow yourself be caught unawares so that means you must grow spiritually.
1 peter 1:2 compares our desire to grow spiritually with the desire of a newborn baby for milk. The word of God here is the sincere milk of the word,that is the only way you can grow.
Prayer is not essentially what makes a christian grow but the word of God,so if you want to grow in 2017,even naturally you don’t grow by just drinking water,you need food to grow.
you must desire the sincere milk of the word which is the word of God and make sure you find a bible believing church where you will be well fed and develop a healthy bible reading lifestyle.
I pray that before the end of the year 2017,you shall attest that the Lord is gracious to you.
