How to pray? {Part 1}
Text: Matthew 6:5-15
First of all for all Christians both new and old, you must practice the act of prayer in your walk with God.
What does prayer mean?
Prayer as it relate to this topic is the act of communicating with God (deity) either as a petition or in adoration, contrition or thanksgiving.
I believe the definition is simple enough for anyone to understand.
Prayer has been in use since the time of the Old Testament. Genesis 20:17.
God the Son (Jesus) noticed that humans were not praying right so he gave man a template like a guideline on how to pray?
The issue now is that it is either you can’t pray right or you pray amiss or you don’t pray enough or you don’t pray at all. I believe anyone who has the power to communicate to his fellowman has the capacity to pray.
In the next parts we shall be looking at who can pray?
Prayer is the best way to make our desires known to God and it is a process that must be done always and regularly in happiness or sadness, in riches and in poverty, in sorrow or in joy.

Admonition 171115 No pain,No gain
No pain,no gain..as it is popularly said…
In the race of life from birth to death..every human must pass through a form of pain that either ends in joy or sorrow.
In the real sense,its not every pregnant woman that passes through the pain of labour in child birth that ends up with the joy of a child, some women lose their babies some mothers even lose their lives….I pray for someone here today that the pain you pass through shall never lead to sorrow or premature death.
Its not on the pain you face today that you should focus on but the glory of the future..
An athlete does not become a winner by just luck but through the pain of sacrifice,discipline and hardwork,practice which leads him to a glorious end..philippians 3:14
I pray for someone here today that where you have endured a lot and put yourself under hardwork for a desired goal or task and yet you are robbed of your trophy or crown..the angels of God shall fight on your behalf and recover all your entitlements for you today..In Jesus Name…Amen.
Ministers of the gospel in this generation are in trouble because they have made people believe that christianity is all about prosperity,riches and fame but forget that there is the persecution,suffering,poverty,perseverance and tribulation part of christianity and that if you are faithful to the end you will reap the fruit and gain. Acts 14:22 please read…and 1 timothy 6:7-12,2 timothy 4:5,
I remember that the top ministers of the likes of pastor adeboye, oyedepo and kumuyi and many others had to sacrifice a lot inorder to accept their call into the ministry and they passed through some pain inorder to get to the position they are now. So when comparing yourself to likes of them; you also ask yourself :can I pass through the pain they passed through and can I sacrifice what they let go inorder to have this gain they have now?
The main reason why there is a high rate of ritual killings for money,position and fame today is because people don’t want to pass through the pain of hardwork,patience to make wealth or become famous instead they want to have money at all cost even at the expenses of human souls.
The youths today don’t want to work or be patient to work and burn the midnight oil inorder to be a better person but instead want to live life on the fast lane like music,yahoo(419) fraud,runs-girls.e.t.c
Law of No pain,No gain: that is a law on earth that does not respect religion whether as a christian,unbeliever.. And that is why many people don’t know the value of the things they have. A woman who was barren for many years will know the value of a child that’s why a woman who aborts her baby does not know the value of the life of her baby.
Hear this if you are a special vessel in the hands of God then you must past through the pain experience or wilderness experience inorder to get to your place of gain or glory..david had to pass through this stage through the hands of saul for many years,even after he was anointed king by prophet samuel.. 1 samuel 18-31
Another example is brother Joseph who passed through this experience as a slave and prisoner in egypt inorder to become the prime minister of egypt.. Genesis 37-43.
Even our Lord and saviour Jesus christ had to endure pain,shame and poverty on the cross because of the gain of the future and for our victory. Hebrews 12:2.
The best way a mother can destroy the life of a child is to shield the child from all the challenges of this life, it is the challenge we pass through that brings out the best in us.
Therefore brethren I also want to address a point here that some powers are out there to make sure people go through pain without any gain..they work as curses,monitoring spirits,ancestral powers,household idols,but good news: Jesus has come to save us all from the powers that deny us gain after pain. John 8:36
Accept Jesus Christ today so that you can have your pain,challenges,experiences converted to gain,victory and glory…if any man dies without Jesus Christ in his life irrespective of the fact that he lived all his life in pain and sorrow..there is no gain for him here on earth and in the afterlife.. 2 corinthians 5:17. Jesus is Lord and Saviour

Whatever Jesus Christ won’t give you,don’t try to receive it from the devil,because it would be full of regrets and sorrow…the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ is without sorrow. proverbs 10:22.
Many have been praying to God for many things yet they did not patiently wait for the perfect timing of the Lord.
For example,a woman looking for a child and goes to the herbalist for a child..yes she can get pregnant but definitely the child will not be from the Lord but from the devil and the child will be a possessed child.
There is a great role prayers and fasting and a heart of faith and thanksgiving does in the life of a christian eagerly waiting for a request from God.
The word of the Lord says in romans 10:11 that whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
My prayer for you all is that you shall never be ashamed in your waiting on the Lord for all your request. In Jesus Name..Amen Jesus is Lord and Saviour
